Emile Morel, Game Designer at Ubisoft Games and Creative Director of Beyond good and evil 2, who died at the age of 40. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Morel’s death was reported by gaming industry peers on LinkedIn. “Rest in peace my dear Emile Morel“wrote Greg Hermittant, producer at Ubisoft Montpellier. “You have been such a good and kind partner all these years at Ubisoft. I am grateful to have worked with you on so many projects.”

Morel started working at Ubisoft in 2009, according to his LinkedIn page, where he was involved in games like The Adventures of Tintin and Rayman Legends. He originally served as associate creative director on Beyond Good and Evil 2 when he was promoted to creative director earlier this year following the departure of Jean-Marc Geffroy.

In development for 15 years, Beyond good and evil 2 it doesn’t have a release date.
