Netflix revealed Wednesday (5) the premiere date of the fourth season of Sex education, one of his most watched series on the platform. According to the statement, accompanied by a teaser and confirmation of the end of the series, the production will return with new episodes on September 21st.
The end of the series comes after creative changes with the departure of six cast members: Patricia Allison (Ola), Tanya Reynolds (Lily), Simone Ashley (Olivia), Rahkee Thakrar (Emily), Emma Mackie (Maeve) and Ncuti Gatwa ( Eric). A good number of them received invitations to other productions, including cinema, which added a seal of revealing talent to the show. Gatwa, for example, will be the new protagonist of Doctor who.
We have decided that the fourth season will be the final part of our show. It wasn’t an easy decision to make, but as the new season’s themes and storylines crystallized, it became clear that this was the right time to shape up.

Sex education follows a group of school-age teenagers as they grapple with various factors of the period, such as puberty, sexuality, relationships (love and with parents) among other topics. The series brings representativeness and deals with sensitive topics in a light and funny way.
We wanted to make a show that answered some of the questions we had about love, sex, friendship and our bodies. Something that would help our inner kids feel a little less alone. It has been impressive to see how the show has connected with people all over the world and we hope it has made some of you feel a little less alone as well.
The previous three seasons of Sex education are available on Netflix.
