According to the former first lady, Bolsonaro “has no plans for malice and power”; speech was given at a meeting of the PL to discuss tax reform
BRASÍLIA – In a speech to her husband this morning of Thursday 6, the former first lady Michael Bolsonaro (PL) said the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) “has no design for malice or power,” and said she ate “a pound of salt” in their 16 years of marriage. The intervention took place in a meeting that addressed the position of the PL in the vote of tax reform.
“Anyone who met you 28 years ago knows that you are still the same person. I who have already eaten half a kilo of salt with you in almost 16 years, I know you. I know you have no malice, you have no power project”, the former first lady said.
In another part of the speech, the former first lady said she will remain by her husband’s side, drawing applause from supporters and leaving Bolsonaro excited. “I know that you have surrendered for a purpose and a mission, that our life has been put on display, that our life has changed from water to wine, and that we suffer and suffer again. But I want to say that I am with you, by his side, for all that comes and goes,” he said.

Friday 30, when the former president became ineligible for eight years following the decision of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), Michelle had previously posted messages of support for her husband, such as a post on her Instagram in which she captioned a Bible verse and the phrase, “I am at your command, my captain.”
The bout had boos for Tarcísio de Freitas
In this Thursday’s meeting, the PL decided to work to try and postpone the tax reform vote, arguing that the rapporteur Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB) did not deliver the final version of the report in time for the MPs to consider. The meeting was marked by boos and criticisms of the governor St. Paul, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), also harassed by Bolsonaro after he sewed an agreement with the Lula government to approve the text.
The former president said he was “shocked” by the governor’s decision, which was his appointment to occupy the Palace of the Bandeirantes. On Wednesday 5, the governor met the finance minister, Fernando Haddad, and said he agreed with “95%? of the final text. “Yesterday many people were angry with Tarcísio. I stayed too,” Bolsonaro said.
