Father Silvio casts doubt on Christophe
Achille turns 15 today. So Cecile and Christophe take the opportunity to have breakfast together to wish her a happy birthday before going to work.
In the office, Christophe finds Father Silvio. Although her cat’s health has stabilized, the vet wants to keep her a little longer to test her. Only Father Silvio does not have the means to pay the fee. When Christophe promises to find a deal, Father Silvio invites him to coffee to thank him.
During their discussion, Father Silvio tells how he became a priest after working as a humanitarian doctor. Death in humanitarian work is part of everyday life and Father Silvio is used to it. At the end of the vaccination campaign in Sudan, he returned to the clinic he founded in Shataya, a village in Darfur. Unfortunately, the civil war wiped the dispensary, the population and the entire village off the map. The local militia, known for spreading terror, had indeed left a few hours earlier. There is no one left to save.
Father Silvio’s first instinct was to become a bloodthirsty killer, and he swore to exterminate all the perpetrators of this massacre. A plan he didn’t follow through as he heard a voice that made him realize there was another possible choice: love. Divine, unconditional love for all people, good or bad. It was the only possible way. That peace in the hearts, starting with their own. That day everything changed for him. Father Silvio therefore decided to focus on this new mission to save all souls without distinction.
A story that seems to give Christoph a lot to think about. Moreover, if he was planning to kill the man he had been following the day before, he changed his mind before taking action.
In the evening, Christophe, Cecile, Margot and Ludo get together to celebrate Achille’s birthday and there is a good atmosphere. Achille is worried because it’s the first time he’s celebrating his birthday with his family. As Kristof begins to cut the cake, he has a murderous thought. In his mind, the strawberry curls gradually turn into a pool of blood…
Thierry set the powder on fire
At the police station, Commissioner Becker rallies his team and points out that Vincent Garan has been cut tightly by the gas, which may have caused his fatal fall. The Commissioner therefore urges the person responsible to self-declare so that he can be properly protected by the IGPN. However, Thierry, Nora, Akim and Elise have nothing to complain about.
For his part, Louis is sure that the police will do everything possible to cover up this case. He then encourages his father to write an article giving Karine and Maeva’s version of the facts. If there is no objection, the journalist still thinks that it is too early to interview them. Indeed, Karine and Maeva are under the influence of emotions and he does not want them to be caught in the middle of a media storm.
At the police station, Thierry advises his colleagues to remain silent. Elisha then reminds him that the man is dead and that his family has a right to know what happened. However, Thierry thinks that Commissioner Becker is only looking for a scapegoat to save his own skin. For him, the only person responsible in this story is their boss. Thierry then goes further and regrets that the still-homeboy is toasting the little bastard. Words that shock Elisa and Akim. The latter wonders if Thierry was the one who gassed the dead man.
Meanwhile, Judge Laplace is taking questions. Although she didn’t see Vincent fall from the gangway, Yasmin points out that she filmed the entire scene on her phone before the policeman deleted it. Finally, Anissa’s mother recognizes Thierry.
Not far from there, Akim, Thierry, and Nora surprise Robin and Maeva while graffitiing the wall of the police station. This one might read “cop killers”. While Thierry is kidnapped and wants to continue with the identity check, Akim chooses to let them go.
A reassembled Thierry later calls a reporter. On the advice of a police union official, he wants to talk about the deportation case, but anonymously. As he confesses, Thierry tells him that Vincent Garan isn’t the poor innocent victim we’re trying to sell…
