Trailer for the upcoming theatrical adaptation of Stranger Things, dubbed Stranger Things: The First Shadow, published (via Deadline). If he doesn’t reveal much about the story he’s leading, he has some intrigue.
In the video, we see a television showing powerful scenes from the series, before the screen shatters and a glowing, mysterious red orb appears on the empty theater stage. Finally we can read:The beginning of the Stranger Things story may hold the key to what will happen“.
This empty theater won’t stay that way for long after the performance The first shadowAnnounced last summer, it will begin performances at London’s Phoenix Theater on November 17, and judging by the website, performances are already sold out by mid-December.

Based on an original story by series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, as well as Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry. The first shadow Directed by Stephen Daldry with Justin Martin. The play takes place about 25 years before the events of the Netflix series. Here’s how the Phoenix Theater website describes the play:
“Hawkins, 1959: An ordinary city with ordinary concerns. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby doesn’t take his radio show seriously, and Joyce Maldonado just wants to graduate and get out of town. When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family discovers that fresh starts aren’t so easy…and that the shadows of the past reach far.“
Led by a multi-award-winning creative team, this captivating new adventure will take audiences back to the beginning of history, the site adds. Stranger ThingsA beginning that can “hold the key to the end”.
Casting has yet to be announced and plans beyond London have yet to be revealed. So theatergoers around the world will have to settle for the trailer above for now.
Meanwhile, the first four seasons of the series will reappear on Netflix.
