The wait is over. Star Lionel Messi already has a date to show up at Inter Miami, your new club. The US club has announced an event for July 16 at its stadium, DRV PNK, called “The Unveil” (“The Revelation”, in Portuguese).
The Florida team declined to announce Messi’s name at the event, but local press take the Argentine’s presentation for granted. Defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets, who was team-mates with the seven-time best player in the world at Barcelona, should also be present. The Spanish is also a reinforcement of the club.
“The big event will include entertainment, on-pitch talks and much more,” reads part of the club’s press release.
Messi is expected to make his debut five days later, against Cruz Azul. The match will be valid for the League Cup, a competition between teams from the United States and Mexico.
