Jennifer Garder played the heroine for the first time in ‘Daredevil’, starring Ben Affleck in 2003
Two decades after performing Elektra for the first time, Jennifer Garner will return to live the character in Deadpool 3. The information was confirmed by the magazine The Hollywood Reporter.
Garner debuted as Elektra in the movie demolisher (2003), starring ben affleck. The character’s solo film came two years later, in 2005. There is no information on how the character’s appearance will be in deadpool 3.
At the time, the actress was one of the first women to star in a solo movie of a comic book character – although none of the works got great reviews. This will be the first film of the anti-hero after the acquisition of Fox by Disney and, therefore, the first that takes place in the official chronology of the marvel cinematic universe (MCU).
The previous two films, from 2016 and 2018, together grossed more than $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office. The first Deadpoolwas directed by Tim Miller and the sequel, released in 2018, was directed by David Leitch.
Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy (Adam Project) and will be released on May 3, 2024.
