Many movers have known the characters of Neo and Trinity from The matrix. Keanu Reeves’ character discovers, through Carrie-Anne Moss and others, that they all live in a simulated world ruled by aliens who use their bodies as a source of energy. Throughout the story, the main characters’ love for each other inspires Neo to do things the other Ascended have not been able to do to survive in the fake world. But apart from the details of the film, what was it like when the two actors first met? Well, now we know, thanks to a touching post from Moss.
Auditioning can be stressful for actors, as producers need to figure out if they look good and if they have strong chemistry with their co-stars. Fortunately, for Carrie-Anne Moss, pairing up with Keanu Reeves was an easy experience. The actress talked about the meeting in a post for Time magazine which took place to celebrate Reeves being named one of the 100 Most Influential People of 2022:
I remember how calm I felt the first time I met him. It could have been a stressful first meeting: an audition, eyes on us, Neo and Trinity together for the first time. But Keanu was as always: kind, generous and thoughtful. We’ve been playing these characters for over 20 years, including last year’s The Matrix: Resurrections, and he’s still the man controlling me on a busy training day, as he did at the time. He supported me many years ago and still does today, because of the way he listens and the way he introduces himself as a friend. I am very protective of our friendship, I know I can rely on Keanu and he can rely on me.

The bond that unites them is somewhat reminiscent of what unites other lifelong co-workers like Harry Potterby Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint or that of Fast & Furious stars, who have also worked together for over twenty years. Relationships like this are fun to watch and really shine when the cameras are rolling.
Last year Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reunited for the incredible fourth installment , The resurrections of the Matrix. As it had been so long since Moss had reverted to the character that made her an action icon, she felt it was time. to get back in shape for the role. And if you’ve seen the movie, you probably know that his hard work paid off.
Of course, she and Keanu Reeves had to prepare for other things resurrections, like crazy which saw the two hanging 42.5 feet in the air. But as expected, they supported each other. It’s nice to know that these two stars are still a dynamic couple both on and off camera, and I hope they share even sweeter moments in the future.
