Belo’s advisers informed this Wednesday (12/7) that the singer has finally paid the millionaire debt with Denilson. For 22 years, the artist lived a soap opera for breach of contract, and the debt of him was estimated at more than R $ 7 million.
Recently, Denilson called for a freeze on awards acquired by Belo in the “Dança dos Famosos” segment, on TV Globo. The decision was another of the former player’s attempts to secure payment of the debt.
According to journalist Leo Dias, justice accepted the measure and promised the prize to Belo, who also had other blocks to complete the total amount. However, the singer allegedly surprised by paying what he owed Denilson.

For more than 20 years, the duo have been fighting a legal battle over breach of contract. The confusion started after Denilson bought the commercial rights to the Soweto Group. At that time, Belo broke up with the band to start a solo career.
Belo was sentenced by the Justice in 2004, when he had to compensate Denilson for approximately R$ 385 thousand. With the necessary corrections, the current debt exceeded R$7 million.
