The Simpsons: After 33 years, this French character returns to Disney+!

Despite a possible ending pointing at its nose, season 34 of The Simpsons is finally available on Disney+. Consisting of 22 episodes, this new chapter features some select guests such as Drew Barrymore, Kerry Washington, Aubrey Plaza or Melissa McCarthy.

But the real highlight of this season is the return of a character who has been absent from the series for… 33 years. This is Jacques, a French-born bowling pro. He wooed Marge in the very first season episode 9 titled “Marge loses her mind“.

After receiving a bowling ball for her birthday, the mother of the family takes her first steps on the slippery lanes. Jacques is tasked with teaching her the basics of discipline and very quickly, it’s love at first sight. But Marge chooses Homer, leaving the bowling alley.

Voiced by actor Albert Brooks, Jacqui has since made a few appearances here and there, most notably in the opening scene of Season 2. But this Season 34 marks his true comeback. It can be found in episode 17 titled “jars“. The character is again voiced by Albert Brooks.
