What is it about?
After a suspicious death, young journalist Innes Leroy decides to settle in Brittany to investigate the phenomenon of green algae. During his encounters, he discovers the fabric of silence surrounding this ecological and social disaster. Faced with pressure, will he be able to triumph for the truth?
Ines Leroy’s shocking investigation into green algae becomes a fictional film inspired by real events. After being the subject of a charming comic book adaptation, the investigative journalist collaborated on this film version with director and screenwriter Pierre Jolivet (Heart, Les Hommes du feu…).
The film takes us step by step through the discoveries that this journalist will make and finds the right balance to make the subject accessible, understandable, while avoiding the “film dossier”.
We met Celine Salet in a duet with the journalist who plays her on screen, Ines Leroy. An opportunity to return to the accuracy of this investigation and case, which is still ongoing. Ines Leroy also shares with us the pressures she faced during the making of the film and the various previews that took place.
