Nick Nolte plays a reluctant and tough cop. Eddie Murphy plays an intelligent and charismatic inmate on parole. Both team up strategically to catch a killer within 48 hours.

This is the premise of “48 hours”, a film directed by Walter Hill that masterfully alternates tense and brutal action scenes with acid and priceless humor. A classic of the genre, it popularized the concept of the “unlikely couple” in crime films and got a sequel.
