General Severiano’s headquarters received a statue of Garrincha this week. Botafogo is preparing the official launch of the piece, produced in gold, for July 25th. The former striker has wings in reference to the nickname “bow-legged angel”.
For the occasion, the club will also exhibit a lighthouse with the lone star and the cups won by football. After all, there is a project for the Glorioso museum, which is in the final stage of fundraising. President Durcesio de Mello himself is behind the idea, together with the partners Mude Brasil and Instituto ISV, both owned by the entrepreneur Marcelo Lemos Fernandes.
