Once released from prison, Josh Duggar will only be able to see his children in the presence of a few approved people.

Josh Duggar was sentenced to 151 months in prison without the possibility of parole and another 20 years of probation after his release from prison. As part of the ruling, some of the expectations set for the former TV star following his release from prison were revealed. One thing we didn’t know much about, however, would be how things are going about allowing Duggar to spend time with his seven children. A new report just made that clear.

Josh Duggar has been married to Anna Keller Duggar since 2008 and the two have seven children together, one of whom was born after the first. 19 children and over the arrest of the star on charges of child pornography. Once Duggar is released from the prison system, he will be able to see his children again, but he will not be able to be alone with them. Instead, visits must be supervised by people on an approved list.

One thing that seemed a bit more of a question mark was: who’s on the approved list? Good, TMZ got the official court papers and it turns out Josh will have to be supervised by his wife Anna Duggar or his parents Jim Bob and Michelle whenever the kids are around. Any other adult who can be considered a supervisor in the presence of children must be approved by the United States Probation Office.

A noteworthy wrinkle is that Josh Duggar was sentenced to 151 months in prison, or roughly 12 and a half years. By then his eldest daughter, Mackynzie, now 12, will be around 20 years old. Some of the other Duggar babies will also be adults around this time, as Josh and Anna’s children were born in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and their last child, a daughter, was born on October 23, 2021.

Documents specify that Duggar will need to have controlled contact with minors, but his adult children may not fall within that scope. This and other restrictions will be a part of his life for 20 years, so at some point his seven children will grow up during his probation period.

some of the others Trial Rules Josh Duggar will have to face have been detailed above, including the fact that you will not be allowed to have a computer or view pornography, with a clarification noting that adult pornography is included. We also know that Duggar will not be entitled to a medical marijuana card and that his probation officer may ask him to take a polygraph test at any time.

The news comes after Duggar was in prison awaiting sentencing after the trial for two counts: receipt and possession of child pornography material. After the delays, a weeklong trial began in Arkansas in late 2021, Duggar was found guilty on both counts, but was ultimately convicted of only the more serious of the two counts.

Now that the former reality TV star has been sentenced, the next thing to determine is where the remainder of his sentence will be spent. There are two potential options, one with a treatment center and one without. Seagoville Prison, Texas offers a “high-end treatment program” for sex offenders, while Texarkana does not. Other factors, including proximity to Josh Duggar’s family, could come into play. We’ll let you know where the reality star ends up staying.
