Aretha Marcos, daughter of the singers Vanusa and Antônio Marcos, has opened her heart on her social networks to recount an unpleasant experience with Marlene Mattos, former manager of Xuxa Meneghel. The TV producer has become one of the hottest topics of the week following the premiere of the documentary about Xuxa Meneghel’s life on Globoplay last Thursday (7/13).
Aretha, who also followed a musical career like her mother, recalled an episode where she was hired live by Xuxa to record an album while participating in a tribute to her mother in the segment “Intimidades da Xuxa”, in the program “Planeta Xuxa”. . “And Marlene Mattos guided Xuxa, through a little note that Paquita came and set aside during the interview, and Xuxa hired me on the air to record an album,” the artist said.
From São Paulo to Rio in search of the dream
With the promise of the record, Aretha moved to Rio de Janeiro with her two-year-old daughter. However, the long-awaited contact for the production of the musical work never came. “I started trying, myself, to produce this album, a test of this album so that Marlene could do it, because I had been in Rio de Janeiro for a long time and I didn’t understand why the album hadn’t come out, since she paid me a salary to live there in Rio,” Aretha said.
