Due to the Hollywood actors’ strike, which was confirmed last week, the tapings of the second season of sandman have been discontinued, as announced by Neil Gaiman, lead writer of the series. The writer released the statement via BlueSky and said that while he hopes for a negotiation between the Union of Actors (SAG-AFTRA) and the AMPTP (an association that brings together studio representatives), he has no hope that that happen soon. .
The SAG-AFTRA (Union of Actors) strike has begun. Sandman stopped filming entirely, with everything else without the writers. I hope AMPTP finds some logic and returns to the table with actors and writers. [mas] I have no reason at this point to think they will be right.
