They also talk about various curiosities unknown to the public and that’s exactly where the brand’s experts revealed the truth.
In other words, it is not sustainable for Mattel to show Barbie pregnant as it would break the brand’s ideology and stop empowering women in a certain way.
Despite the backlash, netizens began to assert that a pregnant Barbie doll existed in the past, but it is not entirely true.
In 1963, Mattel launched Midge, who was a redhead and was introduced as a couple with Allan, Ken’s best friend, and a great friend of the young blonde. But it wasn’t until 2002 that she became the first model in the Barbie universe to become pregnant.
The strangest thing about the model is that Midge not only had a round belly, since when she opened it the baby was inside, which made her a very different model from the others.
In fact, she will appear in the ‘Barbie’ tape and put to rest the rumors about Barbie’s pregnancy, which never happened and will never happen.
