The highly anticipated Queen of Baixinhos documentary premiered on July 13, 2023, being available exclusively to Globoplay subscribers. Xuxa, the Documentary is an original production of the platform, and has the general direction of Pedro Bial.

The documentary series will have five episodes releasing each week, showcasing the reality of what went on behind the scenes in the personal and professional life of the country’s top children’s presenter.

The production brings exclusive meetings, controversial topics and interviews conducted by Bial, recalling the intense routine of Xuxa, as well as the relationship with the team behind the cameras, not forgetting the family.

The documentary takes a real dive into the memories of the blonde, revealing her complete trajectory from the beginning, when she was still a model in Santa Rosa, Rio Grande do Sul, the city where she was born and raised.

The series also traces her career as an actress, until she achieved fame as a children’s presenter and singer, conquering Latin America, Europe and the United States.

“Xuxa, the Documentary” details encounters with notable personalities such as Michael Jackson and John F. Kennedy Jr, and bears testimonials from people who accompanied her throughout her life. Among them are Sergio Mallandro, Renato Aragão, Luiza Brunet and former paquitas Andrea Veiga, Letícia Spiller and Tatiana Maranhão.

Among the many passages that appear in the documentary about Xuxa’s 60 years, one of the most notable and anticipated encounters is with her former manager, Marlene Mattos, with whom she has been with for almost 20 years.

However, professional disagreements caused Xuxa and Marlene to terminate their friendship and working relationship, remaining distant for 19 years.
