Delivery app iFood has laid off 25 people in its finance area in a new round of corporate cuts in 2023, according to a company statement on Tuesday.
iFood, which had already laid off 355 people at the end of the first quarter, said the new decision is in line with “the strategy of making its priority business fronts more cost-efficient to operate.”
The company said the measure was necessary for the business to remain healthy and profitable.
In March, iFood laid off about 6.3% of the company’s staff, citing the global economic backdrop.
