A new action and comedy film is about to heat up movie screens. Directed by David Leitch (“Deadpool 2”), “Bullet Train” will have none other than Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock as the protagonists of a breathtaking storyline, being set almost entirely on a Japanese bullet train.
Pitt plays Ladybug, a clumsy killer who gets on a train with the sole task of protecting a briefcase. Along the way, she meets several colleagues who realize that their missions are connected, probably not in a friendly way. With the chaos that ensued on the journey, the character will have to dodge the pros as she tries to find a way to get off the train.
In addition to Pitt and Bullock, the cast of “Bullet Train” includes Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”), Andrew Koji (“Warrior”), Brian Tyree Henry (“Eternals”), Zazie Beetz (“Joker”). ), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Logan Lerman (“Percy Jackson”) and even lead singer Bad Bunny.
Based on the 2010 novel by award-winning Japanese writer Kotaro Isaka, the film was announced by Sony Pictures in 2020. CBRthe adaptation marks the third time that Isaka’s work has hit the big screen: 2015’s “Grasshopper” and 2018’s “Golden Slumber” are based on the novels Three Assassins and Remote Control, respectively.
Leitch is best known for his work on “John Wick: Back in the Game” (as co-director alongside Chad Stahelski), 2017’s “Atomica” and 2019’s “Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw”.
With a premiere scheduled for August 5, “Bullet Train” will be the third film in which Brad Pitt is expected to appear in 2022. The actor is also in “The Lost City” – also with Bullock – and in “Babylon”, a film. vintage with release scheduled for December this year.
