‘Barbie’ Star Margot Robbie Says She Likes Rolling In The Mud Best
Despite playing the main Barbie in the Greta Gerwig It is Noah Baumbach, Margot Robbie revealed that she was not the type of girl who liked to play with dolls in her childhood: “I never had one myself, as far as I can remember,” she told People.
The Australian confessed that her sister and cousin had Barbies, but although the actress shared the games with the two, Robbie “I wasn’t much of a Barbie girl as a kid.” Instead, she “was more of a rolling-in-the-mud type.” Even when she played with dolls, she opted for the “weird ones”: “They were all spoiled because I didn’t take care of them. They were weird Barbies.”

Childhood experience did not prevent Margot to dive into the Barbie universe. When she read the script and saw a joke on the first page, she thought the Mattel owners would never allow a movie like this to be released. Barbiewas released. “But they did,” concluded Robbie.
Playing a Barbie made the actress respect the doll more. The role inspired her with the idea that she is “enough”: “Barbie can be anything and everything, but even if you’re just surviving, you’re killing it. I find that very therapeutic.”
Barbiehits Brazilian theaters this Thursday, the 20th, and has already sold out.
