Apple TV+ has just announced its new French series project called La Maison, after teaming up with Eva Green and Vincent Cassel. Created by showrunners Jose Caltagirone and Valentin Millville and based on an original idea by executive producer Alex Berger, this feature is directed by Fabrice Gobert (Les Revenants) and Daniel Grou aka Podz (Lupin).
A legendary modern fashion house
In the casting, subscribers of the platform will find such famous actors as Lambert Wilson, Amira Cassar, Carol Bouquet, Zita Hanrot, Pierre Deladonchamp, Antoine Reinartz, Anne Consin, Florence Luare Kyle and Ji-Min Park.
Here’s the starting point of the story in an official statement: “Haute couture meets drama behind the scenes of the famous century-old house. Caught in the middle of a scandal-ridden dynasty and forced to reinvent himself after the release of a video for star designer Vincent Ledoux (Lambert Wilson), his family’s haute couture home hangs in the balance.“
A five-star cast for Apple TV+
“Perle Foster (Amira Cassar), Vincent’s former muse and still in his shadow, joins forces with Paloma Castel (Zita Hanrot), a new generation of visionary designers, to save and reinvent Maison LEDU. She asserts her place in the LeDu family as well as in the world of fashion.“
Divided into ten episodes, this series, which will hit the dramatic register, will offer “A fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the ever-changing world, the ideal of French elegance and luxury, but also the hectic lives of the families who run it.“… The whole show! La Maison has already started filming in Paris and France. You will find it soon on Apple TV+.
