Kappa, the company that supplies sports equipment to Vasco, confirmed that the truck carrying the new uniforms was the victim of a theft this Thursday (20). The case took place on Avenida Brasil, near the Complexo da Maré, in Rio de Janeiro. However, the company has ensured that the episode does not affect the delivery of the shirts on the original dates.
The shirt, launched last Wednesday (19), is scheduled for Sunday’s match (23), against Athletico-PR, at 18:30, in São Januário, for the Brazilian championship. Despite the theft, Cruz-Maltino shouldn’t suffer any damage immediately. The trend is that there will be a replacement next week, during working days.
Images of the new uniforms for sale circulate on social networks, with values below the original prices of Vasco and also of Kappa. For example, regular-sleeved shirts cost around BRL 150, while long-sleeved ones around BRL 180.

Note Kappa on Vasco shirts
Kappa has guaranteed that the official Vasco stores will receive the products, stolen in the first wave, within the deadline, between the 21st and 24th of this month. Although they robbed the truck with the parts, the company said it was awaiting the conclusions of the police investigation to punish those responsible. Check the note:
“Kappa Brasil informs that, unfortunately, the news is true and many Vasco da Gama shirts, which were on their way to the club’s shops, were stolen after a truck robbery.
We await the investigations by the Rio de Janeiro police, but we stress that there will be no shortage of product supplies in the shops. We are already working to ensure that Vasco fans have access to the team’s shirt.
We hope this issue will be resolved soon, and reiterate that all stores will receive the products according to the previously scheduled dates between the 21st and 24th of this month“.
