If you like the irreverent superheroes of The Boys, you’ll love the superheroes of Gen V, the spin-off, still created by Eric Kripke. The Prime Video platform has announced the launch date for this highly anticipated new program: September 29. The first three episodes will be revealed there.
Gen V is interested in a new generation of superheroes, straight out of college. This time the powers were injected into their bodies. Now they have to learn to use it. But the line between good and evil is not easy for everyone.
The trailer already gives us an idea of a series with the same crazy and wacky tone as the original series, but maybe a little darker as well. The cast includes Jazz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizzy Broadway, Shelley Cohn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Lue, Asa German, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigosi.
And Boys Season 4 in all of this? Its filming is well and truly over, but no release date has been announced yet. Any promotion for both The Boys and Gen V has been compromised by the writers and actors strike currently in Hollywood. It’s highly likely that Prime Video will wait until the end of the social movement to move forward.
