On July 20, the film Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Cillian Murphy, is released in Brazilian cinemas. The production, which tells the story of physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, best known as the father of the atomic bomb, also stars actor Devon Bostick, best known for his role in “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick’s Rules”.
After Diary of a Wimpy Wimpy, Devon Bostick appeared in some productions such as The 100, series based on the books by Kass Morgan, where he played Jasper, in the film Adoração, by director Atom Egoyan, where he played Simon and, more recently, participated in the Netflix series, Fubar, as Oscar Brunner, alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger.
What role does Devon Bostick play in Oppenheimer?
In Oppenheimer, Bostick will play Seth Neddermeyer, the physicist who, along with Carl Anderson, discovered the muon, an elementary particle, in 1936, in Calteth, as well as drafting the implosion design for a plutonium-massed atomic bomb in the Manhattan Project.
Nolan’s film is based on the biopic American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer, written by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin, which also won the Pulitzer Prize, in 2006.
In addition to Cillian Murphy and Devon Bostick, the film will also feature other famous names such as Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Casey Affleck, Rami Malek, Kenneth Branagh, Jack Quaid, Josh Peck, among other actors who represent a strong team.
