Watch America’s Got Talent Powerhouse 11-year-old singer wow the judges and win a Golden Buzzer

Spoilers ahead for episode 2 of America has talent Season 17 is yet to arrive!

no season America has talent is complete without the young artists proving that kids can be serious competition for adults in the hunt for the jackpot, and the second golden bell of season 17 revealed that adults have a mighty 11-year-old to compete on live broadcasts. . Madison Taylor Baez took the stage for an incredible rendition of “Amazing Grace” that took the judges by surprise for more than one reason. They thought he was just a member of the public with pipes!

11-year-old Madison Taylor Baez wanted to compete AG as he was only 4 years old and his dream came true in season 17… but not as everyone expected. When she showed up for the auditions, the AG The production team sent her to sit in the audience and she had a chance to sing during the commercial break backstage.

It happens regularly on the talent show, but the reactions of the Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi KlumYes Sofia Vergara makes it abundantly clear that a performance like Madison’s doesn’t happen every day, and it’s no wonder that Mandel gave her a golden buzz after not only her powerful performance, but her emotional story as well. And two standing ovations don’t hurt either! To take a look at:

I hope I’m not the only spectator excited after seeing Madison Taylor Baez finally get a chance to wow the judges and be so successful! Honestly, she only hooked me because she was happy to sing AGIn addition to the performance itself. His reactions to everyone’s reactions and his announcement that he would use the prize money to help his father as he battled cancer have just closed the deal.

Add to that the revelation of his father that he learned to sing in order to sing for him in the hospital during chemotherapy treatments, and I was about to hit the tissues. Kudos to Madison for her performance and kudos to Howie Mandel for ringing the golden bell for her!

Overall, perhaps my favorite moment of all the reactions to this little girl who appeared in the audience to amaze everyone came from Simon Cowell. Her little gesture to encourage Madison to continue with the second verse of “Amazing Grace” was adorable and seemed to stem from a genuine desire to hear her sing more. (She looked much happier with her “Amazing Grace” than she with “The Parmisan Cheese Song” last week!)

The crowd that had already risen to a standing ovation after the first verse jumped out to hear the second, and more than one person in the audience was in tears.

Madison Taylor Baez is the second Golden Bell season 17 winner, after the host teams of sponges rang the bell at the premiere of the 21-year-old saxophonist avery dixon which also brought almost everyone to tears for its heartwarming story and powerful performance. (You can re-broadcast the entire episode with a Peacock subscription.)

They are currently the only two contestants this season who are guaranteed a spot in live shows, but three more will join them before auditions close when Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell pick theirs. Cowell’s season 16 gold star sadly had to retire from the competition before the finale for health reasons and died earlier this year.
