Korean series are hotter than ever on Netflix. After ‘The Squid Game’, ‘Heading to Hell’ and ‘Sea of Tranquility’, the platform has found another success with the production of zombies ‘We are dead‘, based on based on the popular webtoon ‘Now at Our School’.
The zombie genre is worked a lot and very well in South Korea, something that we have been able to verify in series like ‘Kingdom’ and in movies like ‘Train to Busan’. On this occasion, the turn is found in the location of the action, a high school in which students have to deal with the outbreak of a virus that transforms their classmates into bloodthirsty cannibals.

‘We are dead’, season 2: When does it premiere?
Netflix has confirmed that, much like zombies, the series won’t stay dead for long. The second season of ‘We are Dead’ has been confirmed during the platform’s ‘Geek Week’ announcements, with 4 characters revealing the news.
There is no release date yet, but we can assume that it will be at mid to late 2023 as soon.
‘We’re dead’, season 2: Synopsis

At the end of the first season of ‘We are dead’, the title was almost literally fulfilled. ‘Almost’ all are dead.
After the initial outbreak, Hyosan City was quickly overrun by the zombie menace and then to top it all off, most of the undead were destroyed by the Korean army’s bombardment.
While most of the survivors closed their stories, it is very possible that the outbreak could still resurface. All it takes is one zombie to screw everything up again.
And it’s also Nam-Ra, who somehow managed to retain his humanity even after the infection ravaged his body. It turns out that she is just one of many hybrids who can use the virus to their advantage, becoming stronger and more resistant to pain. The problem is that the hunger for human flesh still remains, so that’s another threat that the new episodes could sink their teeth into.
‘We are dead’, season 2: Who will return to the cast?
As we just told you, most of the original cast does not make it out of the first season alive. Nevertheless, one character we can probably assume will return is Choi Nam-ra, played by Cho Yi-hyun. Unless, of course, the show tells us an entirely different story within the same outbreak with a revamped cast.
According to the trailer for the platform, there are three other actors who will return alongside Yi-hyun: Park Solomon, Park Ji-hoo and Yoon Chan Young (Did Lee Cheong-san finally survive?). The four interpreters were in charge of giving the announcement about the renewal, so it is very likely that they will all return.
