The Rock showed interest in the role in 2007 – and will finally release a Black Adam movie in 2022
After a long wait from many fans, Warner Bros. finally released the first official trailer for black adamstarring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnsonwho waited more than 15 years for the film to be released: showed interest in the role in 2007, but the studio only made an official proposal in 2014.
To announce the trailer, Warner released a poster featuring the character, which reads: “The world needed heroes, now it has black adam.” It is worth remembering how The Rock stated that “the hierarchy of power in the DC universe will change” completely with the release of the production directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.

In the preview, we can see the first glimpses of the period in which the character was a slave, lost his son, gained the powers and became a god. Additionally, the trailer reveals the interactions of black adam with the members of Justice Societywhich will play a key role.
The cast also has Sarah Shahi (Adrianna Tomaz/Isis), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Fate), Noah Centineo (Atom Crusher), Aldis Hodge (Black Hawk), between others. The plot shows black adam nearly 5,000 years after being bestowed with the omnipotent powers of the Egyptian gods – and arrested just as quickly. The character is released from the tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
