“These are the typical things you never consider when planning a movie.”
The director of ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’, Colin Trevorrowhas revealed that a character in the film had to be replaced after filming delays due to the pandemic.
The director explained that the British actor Beached Sethu stepped in to replace Daniella Pineda in the next blockbuster after COVID-19 delays prevented Pineda from reshooting another scene that had been planned.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about what it was like to make the film during the pandemic, Trevorrow shared: “There were some travel issues that made it very difficult for us.
“Daniella Pineda, who is in the opening of the movie, actually had another scene later that we couldn’t shoot with her. We replaced her with a British actor, Varada Sethu, who is amazing in the movie.“.
Trevorrow, who helped revive the Jurassic Park franchise with Jurassic World with the first installment in 2015, explained that the decision was made after travel issues and quarantine requirements made it difficult to film the additional scenes. “Daniella was in New Zealand, she couldn’t leave forthat he was filming his show and should have been quarantined forever“, he shared. He also commented that these are things that you never take into account when you are planning a movie“so we adapted and found ways to fix everything because we had the best team available“, he added.
