Ferraresi celebrates renewal with San Paolo: “It was what I wanted”

Defender Ferraresi, who has renewed his loan at San Paolo until the end of 2023, celebrated his stay at the club. The original deal expired on 30 June and the player has not played since the start of the year when he injured his right knee.

The Venezuelan defender celebrated the new bond and praised the good atmosphere that reigns in the tricolor club.

“I’m happy. It’s what I’ve wanted since I got injured. I knew I couldn’t play here in São Paulo anymore if my loan ended and I told my agent and those around me that I wanted to recover here, stay here because I I felt good, I feel good and I think when you feel at home it’s very nice,” he highlighted.

In addition to the loan extension, from 2024 Ferraresi will sign a contract with the club valid until 2027.

Ferraresi joined San Paolo on loan from Manchester City in August 2022 and soon established himself in the Italian squad, becoming an important part of the defence. In all there are 13 games played by San Paolo.

Before joining São Paulo, the defender played for other clubs on loan from Grupo City, such as CA Torque (URU), CF Peralada (ESP), FC Porto B (POR), Moreirense (POR) and Estoril (POR).
