Heartstopper: Season 3 for Netflix series?

Heartstopper: Season 3 for Netflix series?

A popular success on Netflix, Heartstopper is a series for teenagers that is most appreciated by subscribers, but also by AlloCiné viewers, who give it a score of 4.3 out of 5.

After a fairly successful first season last year, Alice Oseman’s adaptation of the British graphic novels seems to be generating the same enthusiasm for its second salvo of episodes.

The second season of Heartstopper continues the romantic relationship between Charlie (Joe Locke), a young openly gay introvert, and Nick (Keith Connor), a popular rugby player who questions his sexuality when he gets close to Charlie.

What wasn’t supposed to be a high school friendship turns into an unexpected romance. The two protagonists are also searching for their identity and acceptance, as well as their friends who will be of constant support and who represent the LGBTQIA + community.

In Season 2 of Heartstopper, Nick came out as bisexual to his father, close friends, and classmates, not without difficulty. The young man is moving forward slowly but surely and wants to take full advantage of his romantic relationship with Charlie. Something that happens at the end of episode eight.

On the other hand, Charlie, who was forced to come out and was bullied at school, does everything to create a safe and healthy environment around Nick, but at the expense of his own happiness. A young guy is so stressed and under pressure that he forgets about it and an eating disorder takes over his life…

Will there be a third season of Heartstopper?

The end of Heartstopper season 2 suggests that Charlie and Nick’s couple will still have some difficulties and obstacles. So will we find out what happens next to Netflix’s cutest couple? The answer is yes!

Since Netflix has already renewed the series for Season 3! A month after the release of Season 1 in 2022, the platform announced via a Twitter post with a photo of writer and creator Alyssa Oseman that Heartstopper was getting two additional seasons: Season 2 and Season 3, respectively.

Good news for fans, if the production of the series follows the same process as the previous seasons, we can expect the third season of Heartstopper in late 2024, especially as sources UKCastingNews Filming is expected to begin in October 2023.

Indeed, since this is a British series, it should not be affected by the dual strike of writers and actors in the United States.

But Heartstopper season 3 will be without Sebastian Croft, who plays Ben, Charlie’s stalker and abusive ex-boyfriend. Indeed, the actress and Alice Oseman confirmed her departure from the series in a press release. Netflix.

At the end of season 2, Charlie refuses to accept an apology from Ben, who cannot accept his homosexuality and who has yet to understand how much it hurt him.

“Alice and I both wished Ben didn’t have a redemption arc.”Sebastian Croft said. “It’s a really good way to wrap up this conversation between these two people who’ve been through a lot — and Ben was terrible with Charlie — and explore it on a deeper level than I thought it would. Do in season one.”.

Alice Oseman believes that Sebastian Croft had the most difficult role in this series and thanks him and wishes him a great sequel: “I’m so proud and honored to have Sebastian be a part of Heartstopper. I know he’ll go on to do amazing things and I’ll be cheering him on all the way.”

Following the logic of Alice Oseman’s novels, the first season covers the first two volumes, while the second season covers the school trip to Paris that takes place in the third volume. This means that season 3 will follow the fourth volume in which Charlie and Nick prepare to go to university.

Heartstopper Season 2 is available on Netflix.
