My in-laws are so pro-crime: cast, synopsis and where to see the movie

They say 50% of a relationship is family. What about a person who knows his in-laws only on the eve of the wedding? This is the mystery behind the journey of Owen played by Adam Devine in the comedy adventure called My In-Laws So Pro-Crime a movie released on Netflix.

Owen and Parker, Nina Dobrev, are a somewhat unlikely couple, she is a yoga teacher and he is a reclusive and somewhat agitated bank manager. To the point of being discredited even by his colleagues, who doubt him when he says he’s about to go down the aisle.

Although there is a hint of romance in Meus Sogros So pro Crime, the comedy has moments worthy of an adventure film, with special effects, explosions and many scenes of clashes and hand-to-hand combat.

The family is not chosen

Quite unexpectedly for a family reunion, Owen meets his in-laws Lilly and Billy, played by Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin. In addition to their absent parents, they are an alternative and eccentric couple who arrive in the United States after an expedition to the Amazon. But what is revealed during the plot is that the couple is not so zen.

Owen’s parents, on the other hand, follow a more conservative behavioral guide. Methodical and suspicious, they horrify even those who have a few drinks in the afternoon. Also, they are masters of uncomfortable and invasive questions.

On any given day’s work, the Phantom Bandits, masked criminals, rob the bank of which Owen is the manager. From the clues left by the suspects, the bank clerk begins to suspect that the bandits may be closer than he thinks.

Produced by actor and producer Adam Sandler, the latest comedy from Tyler Spindel – who also directed Miss Wrong and Father of the Year – also stars Lauren Lapkus, Poorna Jagannathan, Richard Kind and Michael Rooker. The film is available on Netflix.
