The ’50 Shades of Grey’ star opened up about his longtime friendship with Robert Pattinson and confessed that he was once jealous of the actor
longtime friends, Jamie Dornan talked about the relationship with Robert Pattinson and admitted that he felt jealous of the actor.
“I’ve known Rob forever”, said the star of “50 shades of Grey”. “He’s a good friend. I love him. I think he’s one of the actors I’m most involved with and excited about,” declared in an interview with Wired.
However, he confessed that when Pattinson was cast as Edward Cullen in the franchise “Dusk”, he felt a little envious. At the time, the two shared an apartment with other stars, such as Eddie Redmayne, Andrew Garfield AND Charlie Cox.
I was probably quite jealous at one point. We were all friends in London and Rob was hanging out and we weren’t. I think he’s the nicest guy in the world.”
In an interview with Entertainment tonight last year, Dornan said Pattinson’s success in “Dusk” it created a small barrier between him and his colleagues.
I think it’s always been like this with Rob, he’s been successful before anyone else, so we thought, ‘Does this really fit us?’ Because we weren’t working and he works all the time. He did Twilight and suddenly he was in a different stratosphere than ours.”
