Vasco confirms the transfer of part of the Palacios rights to Colo-Colo

Vasco informed, this Wednesday (9), that they have agreed to sell part of the rights of midfielder Carlos Palacios to Colo-Colo, from Chile. The 23-year-old has achieved the objectives of the loan agreement and the club from the capital Santiago has exercised the obligation to purchase. However, Cruz-Maltino has not yet disclosed the athlete’s percentage acquired in the transaction.




Together with Internacional, Cariocas bought 70% of the Chilean’s rights in April 2022, for around R$8 million, and his pass was set at $5 million (close to R$25 million). . At the time, he came to reinforce the Gigante da Colina squad with an eye to the dispute in the last stretch of Série B of the Brazilian championship.

However, he was disliked and performed well below expectations, becoming a replacement for most of the Access season. Palacios, by the way, played 24 games for Vasco and scored just once, from a free-kick, in a 3-0 win against Operário-PR, in São Januário. Furthermore, he has also provided assistance. Then, in January 2023, Cruz-Maltino paid off the loan to Colo-Colo. There, the midfielder regained his good football, adding 10 goals and two decisive passes in 22 matches.

Vasco with an eye to Bragantino

Vasco follows the preparation for the next match of the Brazilian championship. The team is away to face Bragantino, Monday (14th), at 21, at Nabi Abi Chedid, and tries to gain more positions in the standings, given that it currently occupies 19th place, with 12 points, and must count on the Cougar and Jair return. Both have worked with the ball in their last game but tend to start as options on the bench.

Newly hired midfielder Praxedes cannot play because he is on loan from Bragantino himself.
