The Lincoln Defense is one of Netflix’s hit shows. The court series, adapted from Michael Connelly’s novels, is currently number one in the most-watched titles after the second half of season 2 went online.
Those who have already watched these 5 new episodes have discovered a final cliffhanger that clearly calls for a season 3. Currently, Netflix has not yet renewed the series.
The platform typically waits a month after a season is released before making a decision so it can analyze viewing figures. But in the case of La Défense Lincoln, there is nothing to worry about.
The only downside is the writers and actors strike that is raging in Hollywood. Although negotiations between the main unions and the production companies are slow, the latter are struggling to announce the renewal of the series with actors and writers who are not allowed to work.
If there is a season 3 of La Défense Lincoln, then it will be necessary to wait until the strike is over for the writers to start working on new episodes. Fortunately, it’s not really starting from a blank page, as the series is taken from a literary saga spanning 6 volumes.
This time they are adapting Opus 5, Gods of judgmentIn which Mickey Haller investigates the murder of a former prostitute who was his client (Glory Days).
It is in this novel that his half-brother Harry Bosch, another of Connelly’s literary heroes, appears. The character, who had the right to his own TV series, was offered this time by a rival platform, Prime Video.
If there’s even a small chance that we’ll see Titus Welliver in Lincoln’s defense, Netflix could call on another actor to play him.
The answer is probably in 2024.
