Season 3 of The Witcher is clearly one of the best in the series. More faithful than the previous books (except for a few details), it is also of a better caliber in terms of fight scenes and costumes. In these episodes, Geralt (Henry Cavill) and Yennefer (Anna Chalotra) want to find out which witch wants to capture Ciri (Freya Allan). In order to investigate, the latter proposes a conclave that unites all parties.
Episode 5, titled The Art of Illusion, will see the witch and wizard return to Arethusa. But before starting a serious discussion, the guests of the conclave decide to organize a small ball, which will be a diversion for Geralt and Yennefer. in the given interview ColliderMyAnna Buring (Tissaia) reveals that this scene took a month to shoot and that it was a real challenge for director Lonnie Perister.
The actors actually had to reshoot scenes several times during this episode because it’s told from different angles. But the result is more successful: from the luxurious sets to the costumes of the characters (even Geralt playing the game) through the music, all this makes the 5th episode one of the best of the 3rd season (and maybe even of the series).
In addition to also marking Geralt and Yennefer’s romantic reunion, we also learn that Stregobor isn’t the villain of the story, but Vilgeforce…a revelation that ends the episode and leads to the Battle of Arethusa. Episode 6 Another amazing sequence from season 3.
