Disney has confirmed a new adjustment to Disney+ and Hulu’s commercial-free plans in the United States. The new prices for both streaming services will go into effect on October 12, 2023.
What changes
Is it in Brazil?
Currently, Disney Plus offers plans starting at R $ 33.90 per month in Brazil. At the moment there is no news on price changes. Hulu, on the other hand, doesn’t officially work here yet.
It’s worth mentioning that Disney has increased the cost of its streaming service in 2022 to $10.99. During the same period, Hulu also jumped to $14.99. The combination of Disney Plus (no commercials), Hulu (no commercials), and ESPN Plus (with commercials) will also increase to $24.99.
Finally, Hulu with Live TV will go up to $76.99, with the ad-free version going up from $82.99 to $89.99 per month.
Disney+ will also block password sharing
Disney’s strategy begins by notifying subscribers of the new terms of use related to the account sharing policy in 2023. This measure aims to increase the monetization of the streaming platform, following the same approach Netflix has taken this year as well.
