Fox and the Television Academy announced Thursday (10) that the 75th Emmy Awards will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 9 p.m. ET.
A he confirms the postponement means that the awards will take place four months after the date initially scheduled, 18 September.
This is the first postponement of the “TV Oscars” since 2001, when the awards had to change dates from September 16 to November 19 following the terrorist attacks in the United States.

Why was the Emmy postponed?

Even with the change in event, the Television Academy said the voting schedule will be maintained. That is, even if the event is held in 2024, the voting period will remain between August 17-28, 2023.
At the 2023 Emmys, the final season of Succession is leading in the number of nominations, for a total of 27, including best drama, best actress and three actors in the running for best actor. The Last of Usthe game adaptation Naugthy Dog, was the second most nominated production, with 24 awards.
