Will Uncharted 2 happen? Producer responds

Producer Charles Rovan gave a promising update on a possible sequel to Uncharted: Off the Map, starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg

The possible continuation of Uncharted – Off the Map(2022) received a promising update from producer Charles Rovan. Based on the popular video game lineup, uncharted followed the exploits of traveling adventurer Nathan Drake (Toneholland) and his mentor Sully (Mark Wahlberg) in search of the lost treasure of Magellan.

Fans of the original games thought that holland was misunderstood as drake, but even so, the film grossed $407 million at the worldwide box office, seemingly paving the way for a sequel. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, rovan indicated that Sony is interested in exploring a sequel to the video game.

Oh yeah! We had a lot of fun with this movie. Fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we’re definitely looking to do another one of those.

The possible story following Uncharted – Off the Map

the end of Uncharted – Off the Map includes a few scenes that set up a potential sequel.

After the movie’s big action climax, in which Magellan’s sought-after treasure is lost, it is revealed that Nathan Drake’s supposedly dead brother, Sam, is actually alive and trapped somewhere. As another lure of the sequel, a mid-credits scene features a villain named gage (Pilou Asbæk), an associate of a major antagonist in the game named Gabriel Roman.

These clues point directly to what Uncharted 2 it could be: Nate’s quest to find his brother Sam and a treasure hunt that turns into a race against Roman. The treasure sought by Nate and Sully (and Roman) would likely be the legendary lost city of El Dorado, following the storyline of the original Uncharted game, in which Roman was the main villain.
