“Fale Comigo” is the new horror film produced by A24 and which will debut on August 17, 2023 in Brazilian cinemas. The film tells the story of a group of friends who are constantly in contact with the spirit world through an embalmed hand and publish the results of each session on the internet. Eventually, this habit causes dire consequences that follow them wherever they go. Learn more below.

The narrative revolves around Mia (Sophie Wilde), a teenager who has lost her mother and is constantly sad about it. One day, her friend shows her a video on a social network that exposes the paranormal contact of teenagers with the spirit world: they gather spectators in a room, light candles and touch an embalmed hand. Whoever touches his hand and says “Talk to me” will have a paranormal intervention that can only last up to 90 seconds, otherwise bad things can happen.

Intrigued, Mia decides to give this supernatural session a chance, to contact her mother from the afterlife. After the first contact, she says she felt great and she can’t stop thinking about the session. In this, she takes the embalmed hand for herself and begins new sessions alone at home. As time passes, she encounters apparitions of supernatural beings and finds herself unable to determine what is real and what is not.

Gradually, the friends realize that they must have opened a portal from the paranormal world to the human world, but that they couldn’t close it properly. So as they try to figure out what’s going on and how to fix the situation, the bad events keep disturbing everyone around them.

The cast still has names like Zoe Terakes, Miranda Otto, Jett Gazley, Chris Alosio, Otis Dhanji, Joe Bird and Alexandra Jensen. The official premiere will be the same day from Brasil. Watch the trailer below:
