Kamala Khan, like Miss Marvel, is an American Muslim teenager living in Jersey City. A big fan of video games and an avid fan-fiction editor, he loves superheroes that spark his imagination (especially Captain Marvel). But he struggles to find his place at home, like in high school, until he discovers superpowers like his characters. Then he tells himself, perhaps a little too early, that everything will come out …
Miss Marvel, created by Bisha K. Ali with Iman Velani, Fawad Khan, Rish Shah …

Telerama : Will it be too light and firmly humorous for his Marvel politicized to show the discrimination perpetrated by Muslims? Two episodes are not enough to say. This honest fun takes time to discover his deep nature, as well as that of his protagonist.

Paris : Images are very colorful, very pop, sometimes even completely psychedelic, parts of the screen processed with animation. The target audience is clearly her heroine’s age, which may cause a slight disappointment to the adult audience.

Პirveli : The TV series is, above all, a strongly delightful comedy. Visually, the first episode of the hypermark cartoon resembles a cross between the next generation of Scott Pilgrim and Spider-Man. It is cool, elegant, inspired, yet manages to never forget the Bollywood roots of its protagonist. Still, the story seems somewhat limited.

Hollywood Reporter : Allows Kamala’s story to develop independently of other shows, Miss Marvel gives us one thing she has never known as a fan: the thrilling vision of a young girl of color from New Jersey that saves the world.
