With a goal in the 34th hour of the second half, Vila Nova scored an equalizer against Avaí and continues in the fight to enter the G4 of the Série B: 1 to 1, in Onesio Brasileiro Alvarenga, the OBA. Santa Catarina opened the scoring in the first leg, through Denílson, but Caio Dantas gave the final numbers.
With the result, Vila Nova is in fifth place, with 39 points, two behind Criciúma, the last of the G4. Both have 23 games. Avaí, on the other hand, is fighting against defeat and is in 16th place, with 22 points, two more than Tombense, first in Z4. The Santa Catarina team, on the other hand, has one game less: 22 to 23.
Vila Nova will host Mirassol next Thursday (17th), at 21:30, while Avaí will play at home against Tombense, two days later, but at 19:30. Obviously, the two duels are valid for the 24th round of the 2023 Brazilian Serie B championship.
