Neymar’s move to Al-Hilal could yield a millionaire amount for Santos

With Neymar going to Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia, Santos could collect a millionaire. Thanks to the solidarity mechanism, Peixe would earn almost BRL 20 million.

To remove the star from Paris Saint-Germain, Jorge Jesus’ team would spend 90 million euros (R$487 million). Following the player’s training, Alvinegro Praiano is entitled to 4% of the value of the transaction, equal to R$ 19.48 million.

This would be the second time Neymar would help the coffers of Vila Belmiro through the mechanism. Earlier, when Barcelona moved to PSG, Santos received R$33 million, in the biggest transfer in football history.

In any future negotiation involving the forward, Peixe is still entitled to 4% of the total. Unveiled in 2009, the star made the entire basic category in Alvinegro Praiano.

For Santos, Neymar accumulates 138 games, with 71 goals and 37 assists. Thus, the striker was instrumental in winning a Libertadores (2011), a Copa do Brasil (2010), a Recopa Sul-Americana (2012) and three Paulistões (2010, 2011 and 2012).
