The event takes place this Saturday and Sunday with 354 athletes
This Saturday and Sunday, 7 and 8 pm, the 6th stage of the Fairmont Beach Tennis Circuit will be played, an event organized by ABTERJ, the Beach Tennis Association of the State of Rio de Janeiro. The competition took place on the public courts of Quiosque Nativo, on Copacabana beach. Sponsorship is by the Fairmont Hotel with the support of Sandubem Fast Food Functional.
Once again the tournament will be crowded with over 350 athletes with highlights for the duo of Juca de Abreu, fourth placed and a highlight of the ninth generation, 16-year-old, alongside Gabriel Felix, in the men’s A/Open category. In the women’s category, deputy leader Roberta Seidl works with Ana Tintim. Also confirmed the Saquarema duo of Flávia Moreira and Marina Araújo, who moved up in category this year.
The matches will be broadcast live on the youtube.beachtennisrj.com channel and the duels will start at 8 in the morning. In addition to the Open/A category, there will be categories B, C for Men’s and Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, as well as 40 and 50+ veterans.
The stage is worth points for the convocation of the State Cup which takes place in January 2024.
The 5th stage of the Fairmont Beach Tennis Circuit is sponsored by the Fairmont Hotel and has the support of Trem do Corcovado, Quiosque Nativo (Av. Atlantica, 3040 – Copacabana), Sandubem Fast Food Functional and the City Hall of Rio de Janeiro and SMEL – Municipal Department of sport and leisure in Rio de Janeiro.
