A 2020 documentary by Wit Klusak and Barbora Chalupova, Online Pedopredators combats online predation by “trapping” criminals. This film in particular was made after observing – recalled at the top of the documentary – that“One in two children talk to strangers on the Internet” and this’“One in five will agree to meet a stranger.”
Discovery Documentary Now and until November 19 on Arte.tv.
To expose pedo-predatory behaviors on the Internet, the creators of the documentary asked young people to choose three characteristics of minors. Under the watchful eye of sexologists, psychologists and a camera crew who are in direct contact with them between exchanges, these women pass as 12-year-old minors on live chat sites.
The result is horrifying and the observation unreconcilable: 2,458 men contacted the three actresses in the 10 days of filming from noon to midnight, some going so far as to blackmail them with “naked” (in this case fake photos of young naked girls). for a documentary) or meet them in “real life”, without a screen, to suggest that they go further.
The documentary also provides clarity and recall of what the law says about these issues.
