What is it about?
A new adaptation of the Chinese legend of the Monkey King, armed with a magical staff, embarks on dangerous adventures to earn the respect of his peers.
From the age of 8
This feature film was clearly created to tell the story of the journey of one of the main characters of the Monkey King (also known as Sun Wukong), a famous Chinese fairy tale, to the West.
The character of the Monkey King is known to have inspired many characters over the years, notably Goku, the hero of the Dragon Ball manga, but also the hero of One Piece, Monkey D. Luffy.
Breaking the traditional codes of the animated film, a fantastic creature takes the place of the main character here, and a person has a secondary role. Therefore, this feature ensures that your children will not get the impression that they are watching a movie “just like everyone else”.
The hero’s search for identity is a universal enough theme to ensure young viewers can identify with The Monkey King. And it should be noted that beyond the action and adventure, humor is everywhere throughout the story (except for a few more dramatic ones).
whatever you like
- An annoying titular hero for his braggadocio, but whose strength will impress them!
- A rich and exciting world, the beauty of the landscapes will amaze you.
- Fast and awesome martial arts.
- Bonus: If your kids love the Kung Fu Panda movies, then they’ll love The Monkey King!
Things can scare them
- Legions of terrible demons before the heroes.
- The Monkey King is rejected by his family at the beginning of the film, which may seem violent to the most sensitive children.
