Charged clouds had already been observed at dawn in southern Rio Grande do Sul, causing moderate to heavy rain showers. Wind gusts from 60 km/h to 75 km/h have been observed in locations on the border of Rio Grande do Sul with Uruguay.
During the afternoon and evening of this Friday, the cold front advances over southern Brazil and charged clouds also spread over Santa Catarina and Paraná, western and southern São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul.
Dry air prevails over the interior of Brazil this Friday and most of the country remains without conditions for rain.
Rain clouds grow along the northeast coast and parts of the northern region. Moderate and constant sea winds contribute to the accumulation of moisture in the east of the northeast.

The formation of a cold front and an extratropical cyclone between Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina will spread heavy clouds over southern Brazil this Friday.
In the center and south of Rio Grande do Sul it rains heavily for most of the day. The rain only decreases at night. In other areas of Rio Grande do Sul and in the west of Santa Catarina, the first rain showers should start in the morning, intensify during the afternoon and continue throughout the night.
In the other regions of Santa Catarina and in Paraná, the sun still appears in the morning, but cloud cover increases and showers occur in the afternoon and at night.
Risk of intense rainfall in the three southern states. The most intense rainfall is recorded in the central-south of Rio Grande do Sul. There is a risk of hail. In Rio Grande do Sul, in the west, center, south and north of Santa Catarina and in the center, west and south of Paraná, wind gusts up to 80 km/h can occur.

Southeast region
Dry air predominates in southeast Brazil. Almost the whole region has a lot of sun, heat and some clouds, but there are no conditions for rain.
A cold front approaches São Paulo and causes showers with lightning in the afternoon and evening in the west and south of the state. It can rain moderately to heavily, with wind gusts up to 50 km/h.
It can rain quickly on the northern coast of Espírito Santo.
The temperature is rising in the southeast region.
Midwest region
A large dry air mass predominates over the Midwest. Most areas in the Midwest have a sunny, warm day with few clouds and no rain conditions.
The arrival of a cold front in Mato Grosso do Sul causes increased cloudiness and showers with afternoon and evening lightning in the state. It can rain and moderate to strong winds, with wind gusts up to 80 km/h in the west and south of the state and up to 70 km/h in the centre, east and northwest of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Northeast Region
Dry air predominates in northeastern Brazil. Most areas in the region have a sunny day with some cloud, but no rain.
Areas near the coast continue to be very humid. Rain showers are expected in the south and east of Bahia (including Chapada Diamantina), on the coast and interior of Sergipe and Alagoas, in the Zona da Mata, Agreste and on the coast of Pernambuco, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte.
Rain is more frequent in the region of El Salvador and eastern Pernambuco.
