Corinthians have finalized the latest details on the sale of forward Adson. Thus, he released the player to settle with Nantes, from France. Together with his businessmen, he also traveled this Sunday night (20), to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract.
In a statement, Timão said he had received the offer from the French club and authorized the athlete’s trip to Europe.
The proposal arrived during the week, and left the player interested in a transfer. The transfer amount is around 27 million reais and Timão will still keep a percentage of the player. Immediately after the draw against Cruzeiro, the coach Alessandro Nunes confirmed the information provided by Coluna that the player was interested in exchanging the Corinthians with the French club.
In a statement released on Sunday, Timão said he had received the offer from the French club and had released Adson to travel to Europe, take tests and sign a contract. The attacker left on Sunday night with his businessmen.
The French club are offering the 22-year-old a five-year contract, who has welcomed the offer and has expressed a desire to move to Corinthians. Nantes must pay 5 million euros (R$27 million) in the deal. Timão, which holds 70% of the economic rights, will sell 50% and keep 20% in view of future negotiations.
Adson had been called up for the match against Cruzeiro on Saturday, but was not even on the bench so as not to disturb the negotiations.
On Saturday evening, coach Alessandro Nunes confirmed the proposal:
“Adson was included in the game, but we received an official offer from Nantes. Starting tomorrow (Sunday) we will analyze this possibility with more criteria, it is a proposal that pleases the athlete, starting tomorrow we will analyze and adjust the possibility of leaving”. he said.
The transfer window for France closes on 1 September. A basic player, Adson played 114 games for Timão, with 13 goals scored and eight assists.
