‘It’s going to surprise a lot of people’: The Crown season 6 teases its producer

Although filming has wrapped for several months, The Crown Season 6 is entering its final post-production stages before its scheduled release this fall. This is announced by producer Susan Mac in the interview according to The Hollywood Reporter. The final chapter of the series will explore Diana’s final days and the consequences of her disappearance for the royal family.

The crash of the princess, who was killed in a car under the Alma bridge in Paris on August 31, 1997, will not be shown on screen. Regardless, this season 6 promises to be especially heartbreaking. “I don’t want to give it away, but it’s very beautiful, and I think quite deeply, it’s the culmination of quite an adventure.Susan Mack explains. The ending honors all the other queens and you’ll understand why after watching the series..”

Of the arc surrounding Diana’s death, she explains: “The part is terribly sad as we explore his death in three episodes. We follow what happened to him, his last days in Paris. It’s very sad and realistic, but I hope above all it’s respectful and beautiful.”

According to the producer, the final 6th season should bring some surprises to the fans of the series: “I think the way we’re going after Diana’s death will surprise a lot of people, and in different ways. We have discovered a very beautiful new chapter through the story of Prince William and Kate Middleton. It’s like the flowers that fell from the ground after Diana’s death.”

In addition to the death of the Princess of Hearts, The Crown Season 6 will also focus on Princess Margaret, who died five years later after suffering multiple strokes.

The Crown is available on Netflix.
