Remember the movie She Dances, I Dance? You ask yourself: which one? Ela Dança, Eu Danço (Step Up) paved the way for a vast franchise that tackles the universe of hip-hop and classical ballet. The first feature film is from 2006 and derives from the sequels She Dances, I Dance 2 (2008), She Dances, I Dance 3 (2010), She Dances, I Dance 4 (2012), She Dances, I Dance 5: All or Nothing (2014) and She Dances, I Dance 6 (2019).

She Dances, I Dance (2006)
Synopsis: After ransacking a Baltimore high school, young offender Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum, in one of his first starring roles) is sent to do community service at an art school. There he meets Nora Clark (Jenna Dewan), a beautiful and talented modern dance student who urgently needs a new partner for her prom. Tyler is used to street dancing and is reluctant to be Nora’s new partner. Gradually he accepts and discovers that he also has a talent for dance. As they work together, the pair become involved, fall in love, and create an innovative dance.
She Dances, I Dance 2 (2008)
Synopsis: Andie’s (Briana Evigan) life changes when she begins studying at the elite and highly regarded Maryland School of the Arts. Rebel and street dancer, Andie begins to live with local high society students, very different from her. To adapt to the new location she creates an external project at the school and forms a street dance group. In the enterprise, Andie has the help of Chase (Robert Hoffman), brother of the school principal. The challenge will be to unite the two different worlds in a dance competition.
She Dances, I Dance 3 (2010)
Synopsis: A duo of street dancers, Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Adam Sevani) for a hip-hop competition. They compete against the best dancers in the world in a high-stakes competition that will affect their lives.
She Dances, I Dance 4 (2012)
Synopsis: Emily (Kathryn McCormick) is the daughter of a wealthy businessman and decides to go to Miami with the dream of becoming a professional dancer. She soon falls in love with Sean (Ryan Guzman), who is responsible for creating elaborate dances to make flash mobs, instantaneous gatherings of people in a public place to perform a predetermined action. Leader of a group called MOB, Sean decides to participate in a dispute that could lead to a sponsorship opportunity.
She Dance, I Dance 5: All or Nothing (2014)
Synopsis: In the new plot, it brings together actors from previous films. Street dancer Sean Asa (Ryan Guzman) moves to Hollywood dreaming of fame and fortune, but ends up facing almost insurmountable odds to make it into the world of professional dance. When the new dance troupe he forms with Andie West (Briana Evigan) makes it to the finals of a major televised competition in Las Vegas, he has the chance to finally make his dreams come true. The group of dancers will have to face the dilemma of loyalties and old rivalries in order to achieve their goals and determine the course of their careers.

Synopsis: In the latest film in the series, the dance now takes place on the streets and stages of Beijing, China. A group of dancers come together to engage in a battle royale that will determine the best dance team in the world.
She Dances, I Dance: The Apex
The TV series (Step Up: High Water, 2018-2019) expands the universe of the franchise over three seasons, following in the footsteps of the talented dancers of High Water, a performing arts school in Atlanta. The series deals with themes such as friendship, love and the pursuit of success in the world of dance.
